Earlier this year Potomac Rappahannock Transportation Commission began work on a Strategic Plan that would help to guide and determine its planning efforts and services over the next decade. As residential and employment growth is expected to continue and as new, non-traditional transportation options become increasingly available PRTC feels the time is right to take a detailed look at its services, exploring a broad range of ways to keep the people of Prince William County moving: From continued commuter bus services to bike share programs to proposals for fast ferry.
Under the guidance of PRTC Commissioners and with the assistance of a consultant team from Kimley-Horn and Associates, PRTC seeks to define the needs and desires of Prince William area travelers and determining services can best assist the residents, businesses and local governments to achieve their transportation goals.
In order to develop a meaningful plan PRTC needs your input and participation. To start with, they’ve developed a short survey on the ways you travel as well as your opinions on transportation-related issues and current transportation services. Your answers to these questions will inform the early stages of the plan development and your participation in the survey will make you eligible for one of 200 Starbucks gift cards.
You can take the survey here.
