It’s made even more difficult when your former partner will be using the house for at least the next year.The Prince William Board of County Supervisors is looking for ideas to entice future tenants to Pfitzner Stadium as the Potomac Nationals plan to leave the aging facility.
The team is headed for a bigger, better and brand new $35-million facility in a proposed deal being negotiated in Fredericksburg for the 2020 season.Supervisors are seeking a potential tenant for the , but they’re also seeking out a new public/private partner — this time, to develop a large, indoor sports complex somewhere in eastern Prince William County.
…This is the beginning stage of exploring ideas for Pfitzner’s future, said Supervisor Frank Principi, D-Woodbridge.
“It’s a long way off before we have any concrete ideas about that, and quite frankly it may not be a future baseball field,” Principi said.
