Due to a work stoppage (learn more), OmniRide has announced the following route changes. It does not yet know how long changes will last. Please check its website for the latest updates and service information.

OmniRide buses will operate on a modified Emergency Service Plan today, Thursday, August 1, due to a work stoppage by the union representing our bus operators.

Please note that due to Metrorail’s Blue and Yellow Line shutdown, OmniRide Express buses running along the I-95 corridor will run only to and from the Pentagon.

To offset any inconvenience, fares are free on any buses not running regular service today. (At this time, only OmniRide Express buses are affected.)

OmniRide Express Passengers may want to consider riding a Metro Express bus to the Franconia-Springfield or Tysons Metro stations, taking VRE, or slugging during the work stoppage.

Please note that any buses not running on their regular schedules will not be tracked by OmniRide’s real-time mobile app. (This currently applies to OmniRide Express buses.)

-Manassas Express buses will operate between Portsmouth Commuter Lot and Tysons Metrorail station every 30 minutes through 8:30 a.m.

-Gainesville Express buses will operate as the Linton Hall Metro Express between Limestone, Cushing and Tysons Metrorail Station every 10 minutes through 8:30 a.m.

-Haymarket Express buses will operate as a shuttle between the Haymarket Commuter Lot and Cushing Road until 8:30 a.m.

-Dale City Express buses will operate between the Dale City Commuter Lot, following the Dale City-Washington Routing to Telegraph Commuter Lot and Horner Road Commuter Lot and operating only as far as Pentagon.

-Lake Ridge Express buses will operate the regular Lake Ridge Routing and end at the Pentagon.

-Montclair buses will operate as a shuttle to the 234 Commuter Lot.

-South Route 1 buses will operate as a shuttle to the 234 Commuter Lot.

-Mark Center and Woodbridge-Tysons buses will not operate.

-Manassas and Gainesville service will begin at Tysons at 2 p.m.

-Dale City, Lake Ridge and service to the 234 Commuter Lot will begin at Pentagon at 2 p.m.

-Shuttles from the 234 lot to Montclair and South Route 1 areas available.

-Shuttle from Cushing to Haymarket will be available.

-Mark Center and Tysons-Woodbridge buses will not operate.

-OmniRide Local, Cross County Connector and Metro Express will run as close to regular schedule as possible.

-VRE shuttles run their regular routing between Dale City-Rippon VRE Station and Lake Ridge-Woodbridge VRE Station. They will serve ALL AM and PM VRE trains at those stations.

Further updates will be sent as necessary. Please continue to check www.OmniRide.com and look out for Rider Express email and text message alerts for further updates and information about tomorrow’s service.

We apologize for the inconvenience this service disruption is likely to cause, and we appreciate your patience as we work to provide as much service as possible under the circumstances.
