On January 4, 2017, Supervisor Frank Principi was one of five members of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors who signed the letter below, notifying Prince William County Public Schools board members of their intent to support the appropriation of $10,675,000 in FY2017 to meet capital funding needs in the eastern end of the county. Dear Honorable Members of the Prince William County School Board;
Upon the adoption of the PRICE model at your January 4, 2017 meeting, it is the intent of the undersigned to vote in support of a motion to waive our rules of procedure at the January 10, 2017 Prince William County Board of Supervisors meeting and to vote in support of a motion to transfer, budget and appropriate $10,675,000 in FY2017 to the Prince William County School Board in acknowledgement of the previously expressed needs for capital funding in the eastern end of the county.
It also is our intent at the meeting of the January 10,2017 to vote in support of a motion to budget and appropriate debt service costs necessary to finance the difference for the PRICE model up to $10,675,000 to the Prince William County School Board in the FY2018-22 adopted five-year plan.
