Officers from the Prince William County Police Department were presented with the Life Saving Valor Award from the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police.

“These officers were recognized for their response on February 27, 2016 to the shooting on Lashmere Court in Woodbridge where Officer Ashley Guindon was fatally wounded in the line of duty. Officers Jesse Hempen and David McKeown, along with Ashley’s mother Sharon, were recognized at the VACP conference in September and presented the same award,” stated a release.
