As a community in the midst of a major revitalization and demographic shift, just 20 miles from the Nation’s Capital, “New Woodbridge” is an exciting place to enter into public service, as you also earn college credit for practical, resume-building work experience.

Our office accepts interns on a rolling basis throughout the year. As an intern, you will be part of moving forward Supervisor Frank Principi’s “Vision of New Woodbridge,” is a forward-thinking roadmap that is transforming our community. New Woodbridge is about remaking our community into an urban, mixed-use, smart growth, compact, walkable, and bicycle-friendly area with high-paying jobs, multiple transit options, and the infrastructure to support a growing population.

We are a task-oriented work environment dedicated to accomplishing goals and solving problems for constituents and businesses. We seek motivated interns who are interested in gaining work experience, developing career skills, and giving back to your community.

  • Commitment to 90-Day Period

Selection Process

The position begins on the first of each month and occurs over a 90-day period. We request a commitment of 20 hours weekly with flexible scheduling. We will work with you to obtain course credit, if desired.
