VDOT has provided a information brief about snow removal for Virginia residents. The brief is provided here. Citizens with concerns about plowing or other road related items can contact VDOT at 703-383-8368 or email@example.com.
Residents can report structural damage (except roof leaks) to their homes, outbuildings, barns, or businesses as a direct result of the Feb. 5-10 2014 snow storms. Information will help determine if the County is eligible to receive Federal assistance for repairs or low-cost loans to assist property owners. More information…
Neither the state nor the county clears snow and ice from public sidewalks and trails. While not legally obligated, residents and businesses are asked to help keep sidewalks safe by clearing snow and ice so that all pedestrians, especially school children and those with disabilities, may walk securely.
To report damage as a result of plowing, call the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) customer service number, 703-383-VDOT (8368). For potholes, go to VDOT’s Web site. For damage claims, send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with a description as well the time and date the damage occurred. Please do NOT send a photo. If needed, they will request pictures at a later time.
