NOVEC is now accepting applications for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) Youth Tour of Washington, D.C., June 16-20, 2019. Applicants must be public, private, or home-schooled high school sophomores or juniors whose homes are currently served by NOVEC.
Five selected students from NOVEC’s service territory, along with more than 1,800 students from across the U.S., will meet congressional representatives; tour museums, historic sites and memorials; and enjoy special events and entertainment.
The selected group of students will also visit Richmond, Virginia, in February 2020 to meet their state legislators in the General Assembly’s House of Delegates and the Senate.

A completed application, essay and two letters of recommendation must be received by 5 p.m. on Feb. 4, 2019. After reviewing the applications, NOVEC will interview candidates in mid-February.
