8th Annual IWALK for ACTS 5K and Family Festival at Stonebridge

October 6 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

8th Annual IWALK for ACTS 5K and Family Festival at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center

2018 attractions and activities included:

IWALK for ACTS was created by Image Church because a group of people saw a need in the community and how a local non-profit was working to meet those needs. Instead of duplicating services, Image partnered with ACTS to fundraise and drive awareness for the services ACTS provides. Each year, the event has grown in size, as has the amount of funds that have been raised. In 2011, the event raised a net profit of $9,400, in 2017 that number was just under $100,000. To date, IWALK for ACTS has raised over a quarter of a million dollars to help our neighbors in need. 100% of the net proceeds raised by IWALK goes directly to ACTS.
ACTS fosters hope, provides relief, and promotes self-sufficiency for our Prince William area neighbors in crisis. ACTS embraces a client-centered approach to helping our neighbors in the Greater Prince William County Area deal with crises, recover from trauma, and have their most basic human needs of food and shelter met with compassion.
Image Church exists to be a community of people who reflect the image of Jesus. Jesus said to “care for the least of these.” It comes naturally that the people of Image would use their time, talent and treasure to care for Prince William’s most vulnerable residents. IWALK is how they do it.
IWALK for ACTS is planned and executed by volunteers and sponsored by local businesses. For more information, to volunteer, or become a sponsor go to www.iwalkforacts.com
