That’s not a beep, that’s a blare. Picture not sitting in traffic, instead, out on the river, feeling the wind in your hair.
That is how some northern Virginia and Washington D.C. passengers are commuting, thanks to the new water taxi service by the riverboat company who is looking to expand their services.
“An experience of reclining leather seats, overlooking the water, with maybe a coffee in your hand and doing email on the way to work, instead of looking at the car in front of you and their license plate, this is truly going to be a fantastic experience,” said Frank Principi, Prince William supervisor.
“Having the Potomac river here in the region certainly is an intriguing form of transportation,” said Virginia resident.
Taxi service by boat already connects national harbor, Alexandria and Washington D.C, at the Wharf and in Georgetown.
Principi said they are working to provide ferry service from Woodbridge, Va.
