On Tuesday, Aug. 14, the Board of County Supervisors is expected to approve several items related to transportation projects designed to further the revitalization of our community. Collectively, they represent significant improvements to pedestrian and bicycle safety, elimination of blighted buildings and a reduction in traffic congestion here in New Woodbridge.

Award a $14,475,732 Construction Contract to Sagres Construction Corporation for Phase I of the Route 1 (Featherstone Road to Mary’s Way) Project

Authorize Execution of an Agreement for the Acquisition of Property and Easements Owned by Prince William Plaza II, Limited Liability Company, for the Property and Easements Located at 14328 Jefferson Davis Highway in the Amount of $535,000 in Conjunction with the Route 1 (Featherstone Road to Marys Way) Project

Budget and Appropriate a $27,891 Reimbursement from Prince William County Service Authority for the Additional Cost to Construct Additional Betterments Associated with the Powells Creek Pedestrian Improvement Project

Authorize Prince William County Department of Transportation to Install a Raised Pedestrian Crossing on West Longview Drive

Authorize Prince William County Department of Transportation to Install a Speed Table on Marumsco Drive
