On Monday, November 7, 2016, the Prince William County Service Authority’s contractor will begin sewer main rehabilitation work in Marumsco Village. The initial work will be along Carter Lane and Hylton Avenue. We estimate that the work will take approximately 12 weeks to complete. Because this rehabilitation work is ‘trenchless’, there will be virtually no impact on traffic. We are sensitive to the concerns about on-street parking and will work closely with the contractor to minimize inconvenience to the residents. The majority of the project will be accomplished with no impact to on-street parking.

The contractor will hand out a notice to customers 24 to 48 hours prior to any work commencing. The notice provides a description of the sewer rehabilitation work and provides 24/7 contact information if customers should have questions or concerns. Additionally, the Service Authority sends out a reverse 911 call several days prior to work commencing so that customers are not surprised to see crews in the area.
